Simply Be Dance Company is a pre-professional training program designed for dedicated dancers seeking a structured, elevated, and growth-focused experience.
Weekly Training Structure
Performer’s Endurance
A weekly class focused on strength, conditioning, flexibility, mobility, and injury prevention—developing dancers as athletes.
Technique Training
Focused instruction on leaps, turns, and foundational skills essential for competitive choreography and convention settings.
Choreography & Performance
Weekly classes dedicated to learning and retaining choreography while developing performance quality in jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. These styles reflect the most relevant and in-demand genres in collegiate, commercial, and professional dance.
Standard
Class Schedule
September 2025-June 2026
All competitive dancers are expected to commit to a minimum of four hours per week in studio, and are required to attend:
Technique (by placement, T1: Intermediate, T2: Advanced)
PE (Strength, Conditioning, Flexibility)
Minimum of One Group Class (Jazz, Lyrical, or Hip-Hop)
Assigned Sunday rehearsal block
Rehearsal blocks will be used for group dances. Specialty dances (solos, duets, and trios) will use the last block of the day or extended studio hours of 6-8 pm as needed.
Dancers will participate in quarterly Technique evaluations in August, November, January and June. Individual conferences (parent, dancer, teacher) will take place after evaluations to discuss areas of strength and improvement opportunities.
This season, we’ll introduce our dancers an accountability tool: the Dance Notebook. It’s an expectation of dancers in the professional working world to keep track of corrections, things to practice, and judges’ critiques. These journals will also be used to help dancers set goals for themselves, track progress, and highlight accomplishments.
